Dr. Kristen Brown
Veterinarian / Owner
I have had a lifelong passion for animals. Since I was five, I knew that my calling was to help them, which led me to pursue a career as a veterinarian. I began volunteering in the field at 13 and have steadily advanced ever since. I graduated with honors from the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph in 2008. My journey included experiences in small animal clinics, farm calls for cows, horses, and pigs, as well as a 9.5-week stint in South Africa, working with various species. During university,
I worked in the large animal surgery ward, participated in a dog-walking program for research dogs, and cared for neonatal foals overnight. I have always been actively involved in animal rescue and am excited to continue this work at Rossland Animal Hospital. I reside in Whitby with my husband, son, daughter, and our furry companions. In my free time, I enjoy relaxing with friends, snowboarding, scuba diving, and exploring world.
